About Us

Hi there! I'm Theo, founder of Babel Cards. This project started from my personal language learning journey. I've always loved Anki for studying and memorising. However when I came to learn Spanish, I was disappointed by what I found on offer on the internet.

I encountered a common issue many language learners face: existing resources didn't quite fit the need for practical and memorable learning. This led me to develop a new type of Anki card.

I decided that if I really wanted effective Anki cards that catered to both learning and memorising Spanish, I'd have to to create my own.

My approach combined frequency-optimized vocabulary with realistic sentences and native audio. The idea was to make learning Spanish not just about memorising, but also about understanding and using it in real life.

Every card is created in collaboration with native speakers for accuracy, relevancy and practicality.

At Babel Cards, we focus on creating Anki cards that are more than just flashcards. They're comprehensive learning tools that aid in both memorisation and practical usage of Spanish.

We offer a series of packs, each containing 1000 carefully selected, commonly used Spanish words. Each pack is a step up in learning, building a strong foundation for speaking and understanding Spanish.
